The central area of the city along the Seine River is assessed as a UN agency Heritage site and includes several notable monuments, as well as Notre Dame Cathedral, the Sainte-Chapelle, the previous Universal Exposition Grand Palais, Petit Palais and Eiffel Tower, and therefore the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur in neighborhood.
